Footprints Early Education Center believes in Play N Learn, for studies strongly support Play is the most natural way of learning for young children. At our center children have lots of hands-on, age appropriate, playful activities ready for them. Our daily curriculum is carefully planned based on Dr. Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligences. Children are motivated to learn, learn at their own pace, and develop meaningful play experience.  The basic 8 intelligences include linguistic, logical-mathematical, bodily-kinesthetic, spatial-visual, musical, interpersonal, intrapersonal, and naturalist.

Ideally, about 1,000 books need to be read to a child before he/she enters kindergarten. The exposure to books helps the child acquire concepts about books, so the child is ready for experiences in reading and writing. In addition to reading many picture books together, we also pick one or two favorite children’s books as our theme for the week and design extended activities to enrich children’s development in all 8 intelligences.

Our center strongly emphasizes character education. What is the content of character? The content of good character is virtue. At our center we intentionally teach, reflect, and discuss the 10 important virtues recommended by Dr. Thomas Lickona with our children.
