Outdoor Learning at Footprints

Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls

At Footprints Early Education Center, we believe that meaningful learning happens both indoors and outdoors. Our outdoor environment is designed to encourage exploration, creativity, movement, and discovery, giving children the freedom to learn through play while connecting with the world around them.

Space to Explore and Grow

A Dynamic Outdoor Environment
for Exploration and Growth

We focus on teaching the whole child, and we believe that learning outdoors is just as important as learning indoors. Our outdoor space spans over 9,000 square feet and is thoughtfully divided into major play areas from the children’s perspective.

Each area is designed to support different types of play and exploration, allowing children to move freely between spaces where they can create, build, imagine, and interact with others in a safe and engaging environment.

Encouraging Curiosity and Independence

Freedom to Explore, Create, and Take Initiative

Most outdoor play equipment and toys are movable by the children, giving them the freedom to explore, create, and take initiative. This flexibility encourages imagination, problem-solving, and collaboration as children shape their own play experiences.

Our staff and teachers continuously adapt and enrich the outdoor environment and activities based on each child’s interests and developmental needs, creating a dynamic and engaging space that supports physical, social, and cognitive growth.

What Families Are Saying

Trusted by Parents in Our Community

My child has been with footprints for almost 2.5 years. I've seen her grow from a sensitive toddler to a 4-year-old with bilingual abilities and a caring heart. I would like to thank Footprints for all of this.

My child loves to go to school everyday, even when she is sick, she often asks us if she can go to school(!). She absolutely loves the friends she made there, the teachers who care about her needs.

Although Footprints is a small and young school, it has really good course materials and guides children to learn from playing. The school takes the emotional development of children seriously and encourages children to speak their minds. I am very satisfied with my child's emotional development, which is the most important at the young age.
