Bilingual Early Learning
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum blends bilingual immersion, purposeful play, and character development to support the whole child — academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Power of Early Language Learning
Building Strong Foundations Through Bilingual Education
Studies have shown that children who learn more than one language often outperform their monolingual peers in many areas of development. Research also suggests that the “sensitive period” for language learning occurs before age eight. In today’s global community, being bilingual helps children gain new perspectives on the world, appreciate and respect diversity, and develop the skills to succeed and become future leaders.
Chinese & English Immersion
Developing Confident Code-Switchers
At Footprints Early Education Center, we focus on developing children’s code-switching ability so they can move comfortably and naturally between Chinese and English. We implement a Chinese/English Parallel Teaching approach, and our daily learning activities are designed around weekly theme books presented in both languages.
Play-Based Learning
Learning Through Purposeful Play
At Footprints, we believe in Play N Learn, as research strongly supports that play is the most natural way young children learn. Our children engage in many hands-on, age-appropriate, and playful activities each day. These experiences are carefully planned based on Howard Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Children are motivated to learn, progress at their own pace, and develop meaningful learning experiences through purposeful play.
Whole-Child Development
Supporting All Eight Areas of Intelligence
Our curriculum supports the development of all eight intelligences:
Linguistic
Musical
Logical-Mathematical
Interpersonal
Bodily-Kinesthetic
Intrapersonal
Spatial-Visual
Naturalist
Social & Emotional Growth
Developing Strong Character for Life
At Footprints, the ability to understand and manage emotions, build positive relationships, and make responsible choices is just as important as intellectual growth and discovery. We intentionally discuss and teach important virtues — such as kindness, giving, humility, and self-control — and build them into our curriculum. Through daily interactions, guided activities, stories, and reflection, children practice these skills, developing strong character for life.
What Families Are Saying
Trusted by Parents in Our Community
“My child has been with Footprints for almost 2.5 years. I've seen her grow from a sensitive toddler to a 4-year-old with bilingual abilities and a caring heart. The school has really good course materials and guides children to learn through play. The school takes the emotional development of children seriously and encourages children to speak their minds. I am very satisfied with my child's emotional development, which is the most important at a young age.”
